    Received my lame just over a week from ordering (I live in Dublin, Ireland), exceptionally fast and efficient service.
    The lame itself is quite beautiful and an absolute pleasure to work with. Have tried many lames and was never happy with any of them. But the Zatoba has just made my bread making experience even more enjoyable.
    Can’t recommend this lame highly enough.
    P.S. Thanks also to the Zatoba for changing my order for me - I’m left handed and forgot to order same, emails exchanged and order changed,

    Great craftmanship - I've been using my chef's knife up until now to score my bread. This lame has definitely taken my bread to the next level and allows me to do more intricate designs. It's absolutely beautiful and fits comfortably in my hand. Highly recommend this upgrade.

    I was hesitant to spend money when I have tried every possible scoring tool but not been happy with them. Very pleasantly surprised, my poor arthritic hands can hold it comfortably and the weight is nicely balanced to give great control. Add to that a unit that is hand crafted and pleasing to the eye and it's the complete package. I bought this as a birthday present to myself thinking it would become a pretty prop but I this will certainly be an important part of baking tools. Thanks Wyllis! Maree, Simply Sourdough Australia

Slash beautiful patterns in dough with this French style knife. Professional bakers use this tool (called a lame - pronounced lahm) to slash loaves before baking to allow rapid dough expansion. This results in a light fluffy bread with crisp aromatic crust. Each lame is lovingly cut from walnut and polished by hand in the USA. The brass thumb-nuts make blade replacement quick and easy.
