    I highly recommend this beautiful, handcrafted lame for any home baker interested in bread. Not only is it an exceptionally gorgeous tool, it is very easy to use (blade removal & insertion is very simple and if you are careful, not dangerous) and it functions spectacularly. I have tried everything in my kitchen and junk drawer to slash bread without a professional lame like this--from my sharpest knives, to my most serrated knives, to Exacto knives and kitchen scissors--and absolutely nothing has worked. This lame makes the slashing easy and fast, just like it should be for perfectly slashed bread. I was actually surprised when I used it, because I have had such difficulty with the task in the past. Thanks to the Zabota lame, I am able to keep my loaves beautiful, instead of mangling them like before.
    Also, sent with the lame was a little container with potting soil and a surprise seed that I can plant, sent as a gift from the company. How adorable! I'm already eying the black walnut pizza cutter, too... :)
